TRAKAI HISTORY MUSEUM TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE PURCHASE AND USE OF E-TICKETS
1. DEFINITIONS
For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions (hereinafter – the Terms):
- Museum – Trakai History Museum, Seller of the services.
- Visitor – any person purchasing or using a ticket issued by the Museum, Buyer of the services.
- E-ticket – an electronically issued ticket purchased via the website https://bilietai.trakaimuziejus.lt/.
- Website – the Museum’s online ticket sales platform at https://bilietai.trakaimuziejus.lt/.
2. GENERAL PROVISIONS
2.1. These Terms govern the purchase, use, validity and refund of tickets purchased online through the Website.
2.2. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between the Museum and the Visitor from the moment an e-ticket is purchased.
2.3. Prior to completing a purchase, the Visitor must read and accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy available on the Website. Failure to accept the Terms prevents the completion of an online purchase.
2.4. Tickets may be purchased for the following Museum exhibition sites:
- Trakai Island Castle (Karaimų St. 43C, Trakai);
- Trakai Peninsula Castle (Sacral Art Exhibition in the Chapel of the former Dominican Monastery) (Kęstučio St. 4, Trakai);
- S. Shapshal Museum of the Karaim Nation (Karaimų St. 22, Trakai);
- Medininkai Castle Exhibition (St. Kazimiero St. 2, Medininkai village, Vilnius district).
3. PURCHASING E-TICKETS
3.1. When placing an order on the Website, the Visitor is responsible for ensuring that all required data, including the date of visit, ticket type, number of tickets and contact information, are correct. The Museum bears no responsibility for errors made by the Visitor (e.g., incorrect e-mail address resulting in non-delivery of the e-ticket).
3.2. Pre-school children under 6 years of age are admitted free of charge and do not need to be registered in the online system. Proof of age may be requested upon entry.
3.3. To purchase e-tickets, the Visitor must provide the required personal details (name, e-mail address, phone number, country).
3.4. If the Visitor selects the “Invoice required” option, an electronic invoice will be issued based on the provided business or personal details and sent together with the e-tickets.
3.5. Payments are processed through the Paysera payment system (www.paysera.lt). Accepted payment methods include electronic banking services of Lithuanian banks and credit cards.
3.6. E-tickets are delivered to the Visitor by e-mail only after confirmation of successful payment is received.
4. USE AND VALIDITY OF E-TICKETS
4.1. Admission to Museum exhibitions and events is granted only upon presentation of a valid ticket purchased through the Website or at the Museum ticket office.
4.2. The Visitor must present a printed e-ticket or the barcode on a mobile device. The Visitor is responsible for ensuring technical capability to display the e-ticket.
4.3. Tickets are valid solely for the date, time, and event specified on them. The same ticket cannot be used for re-entry once the Visitor has exited the exhibition area.
4.4. Discounted tickets are valid only upon presentation of supporting documents. Failure to provide proof requires payment of the difference to the full ticket price.
4.5. Each ticket is valid for single use only. Multiple scans of the same ticket are not permitted.
4.6. The Visitor must retain the ticket and purchase receipt (if purchased at the ticket office) until the end of the visit.
4.7. Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, except in cases where a visit or event is cancelled or cannot take place for reasons attributable to the Museum.
5. REFUNDS
5.1. If an event or visit is cancelled due to the Museum’s responsibility:
- Tickets purchased at the ticket office may be refunded at the same location upon presentation of the tickets and purchase receipt.
- E-tickets purchased online may be refunded by submitting a written request and attaching the e-ticket to the e-mail address: info@trakaimuziejus.lt.
5.2. Refunds are issued using the original payment method unless otherwise required by law.
6. RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF THE VISITOR (BUYER) AND THE MUSEUM (SELLER)
6.1. Visitor’s Rights
6.1.1. The Visitor has the right to purchase tickets to the Museum’s exhibitions and events through the Website 24/7, provided no technical disruptions occur in the system.
6.1.2. The Visitor has the right to receive clear, accurate, and correct information regarding ticket prices, types, validity, applicable discounts, opening hours, and visiting procedures.
6.1.3. The Visitor has the right to visit the Museum on the date and time specified on a valid purchased ticket.
6.1.4. The Visitor has the right to contact the Museum regarding information, clarifications, ticket service matters, and data processing.
6.1.5. The Visitor has the right to a ticket refund in cases specified in these Rules.
6.2. Visitor’s Obligations
6.2.1. The Visitor must provide only correct and accurate personal and purchase information.
6.2.2. The Visitor must compensate any damage arising from incorrect or inaccurate data provided by the Visitor (e.g., undelivered tickets, incorrect contact information).
6.2.3. The Visitor must responsibly safeguard their ticket and prevent third parties from using it if such use violates the single-scan rule.
6.2.4. The Visitor must comply with the Museum’s internal rules, safety regulations, object protection requirements, and general conduct standards.
6.2.5. The Visitor must present documents proving eligibility for discounts if a discounted ticket has been purchased.
6.2.6. The Visitor must arrive at the Museum at the designated time; if late, the ticket is considered used and is non-refundable.
6.2.7. The Visitor must have the necessary technical means to display the ticket (a phone, tablet, or printed copy).
6.3. Museum’s Rights
6.3.1. The Museum has the right to refuse admission if the ticket is invalid, damaged, already used, or does not comply with these Rules.
6.3.2. The Museum has the right to request documents verifying discount eligibility or proof of a child’s preschool age.
6.3.3. The Museum has the right to temporarily suspend ticket sales due to technical issues, safety requirements, event organization, or other reasons.
6.3.4. The Museum has the right to modify the Website’s functionality, ticket prices, the Rules, and other information in accordance with applicable legislation.
6.3.5. The Museum has the right to cancel an event or restrict visitation due to unforeseen circumstances (force majeure, infrastructure failures, etc.), issuing refunds according to the established procedure.
6.4. Museum’s Obligations
6.4.1. The Museum undertakes to ensure fair, transparent, and lawful ticket sales and ticket validity control.
6.4.2. The Museum undertakes to provide the Visitor with clear, accurate, and up-to-date information regarding tickets, prices, opening hours, rules, and discounts.
6.4.3. The Museum undertakes to ensure the authenticity of purchased tickets and their technical verification at the entrance.
6.4.4. The Museum undertakes to ensure the protection of Visitors’ personal data in accordance with the GDPR and other applicable legislation.
6.4.5. The Museum undertakes to provide the Visitor with the opportunity to visit at the purchased time, provided no technical or safety obstacles arise.
6.4.6. The Museum undertakes to examine Visitors’ complaints, requests, and inquiries within the time limits established by law.
6.4.7. The Museum undertakes to refund payments if an event or visit is cancelled due to the Museum’s fault, as specified in Section 5 of these Rules.
7. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION
7.1. For the performance of the ticket purchase agreement, the Museum processes the Visitor’s personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation GDPR (EU) 2016/679, the Personal Data Processing Rules of Trakai History Museum, approved by Order No. 173-VĮ of the Director of Trakai History Museum of 17 December 2018, the Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data of the Republic of Lithuania, and other applicable legal acts.
7.2. Personal data are not transferred to third parties except where required by law, necessary for service provision, or with the Visitor’s explicit consent.
7.3. With the Visitor’s consent, personal data may be used for direct marketing and for sending informational messages.
8. FINAL PROVISIONS
8.1. The Museum reserves the right to suspend or terminate online ticket sales without prior notice.
8.2. The Museum reserves the right to amend these Terms. Amendments enter into force on the date of publication on the Website.
8.3. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania.
